A Swimmer's Sailor

A Swimmer's Sailor

Life is full of peril
I hesitate to move on
What if I meat destruction?

The ship is what I follow; it leads us to the island
The current grips me hard though, it pulls me away

Waves, they seek to destroy
Waves, it pulls me away

I must persevere, and fight it
The ship is the light house, seek it

Those who follow the waves find death
They sink in the ocean and are forgotten

The waves, the current, they die
The ship pedals on, the ship is stronger
It leads to the island

Loosing track of the ship is facile
Facing waves on your own is fatal

The ship proceeds to the island
A place free from harm
The island; my home
